29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Long Spin Line 1 - On or about 06/29/2023, and at times prior to, employees were exposed to amputation hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure that a method of machine guarding was provided to Long Spin Machine point of operation while employees were operating the machine and changing the thread of the long spin line to a new spindle.
