29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10):Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: On or about July 07, 2023, during a roof replacement of a commercial building located at 6385 Cochran Rd, Solon, OH 44139, the employer did not ensure employees working from a low-sloped roof were protected from a fall of approximately 24.5 feet by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall arrest system and/or combination warning line system and safety monitoring system. J E Palma Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (1926.501(b)(10) Duty to have fall protection), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1624344, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 04/10/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 100 North Walnut Street, Gnadenhutten, OH 44629.
