29 CFR 1910.184(i)(9): Synthetic web sling was not immediately removed from service for having snags, cuts and tears. a) Southwark Metal Manufacturing Co. located at 2800 Red Lion Road, Philadelphia, PA 19114- Press Department- On or about July 17, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees utilizing synthetic web slings for lifting coils were removed from service when they were damaged. Employees lifted coils with a sling having damage including cuts and tears, exposing employees to struck-by hazards.
