Reference: ANSI Z358.1 Emergency Eyewash and Shower Standard 5.4.4 The eyewash unit shall be located on the same level as the hazard and the path of travel shall be free of obstructions that may inhibit the immediate use of the equipment. Building 67177, Restroom: On and/or before July 26, 2023, employee(s) used a HDX Germicidal bleach to clean the restroom. The employer provided a wall mounted self-contained eyewash station that did not provide 15 minutes of continuous flow for drenching and was blocked by two door(s). Employee(s) were potentially exposed to serious eye retinal, corneal damage and/or burns.
