29 CFR 1910.151(b):In the absence of an infirmary, clinic, or hospital in near proximity to the workplace which is used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Adequate first aid supplies shall be readily available. (a) Umatilla Forest Service, North Fork John Day Ranger District, office building, second floor, on or about July 27, 2023 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to serious eye injuries from expired medical supplies located in the first aid kit, for First-Aid use in the event of a splash and emergency exposure to an irritant chemical to the eyes, which could be aggravate the employee's condition, as the expired solution could be a source of a potential eye infection or irritation.
