29 CFR 1915.152(b): The employer did not assess its work activity to determine whether there were hazards present, which necessitate the employee's use of personal protective equipment: a) USS Arlington LPD 24, Well-deck: On or about July 28, 2023, the employer did not assess the vacuum cleaning activity conducted during abrasive blasting with Black Beauty grit, as a result employees were provided with unsuitable respiratory and body protection. No abatement certification or documentation required.
