29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Production area; Machine guarding methods on the Preco brand, model RCP 5-10, 13-inch Rotary Converting Platform, serial no. 6375, did not provide effective protection against contact with ingoing nip points and rotating equipment as the presence-sensing devices (light curtains) were partially obstructed by a beam delivery system that projected through the transmitter mirrors.
