29 CFR  1926.453(b)(2)(v): A body belt was not worn and/or a lanyard was not attached to the boom or basket when working from an aerial lift: Note:  As of January 1, 1998, subpart M of this part (1926.502(d) provides that body belts are not acceptable as part of a personal fall arrest system.  The use of a body belt in a tethering system or in a restraint system is acceptable and is regulated.  (a) 1603 Route 35, Ocean, NJ: Workers engaged in glazing activities were exposed to fall hazards roughly 15 feet to the ground surface below, when operating from the basket of a JLG 600AJ Telescopic Articulating Boom Lift working on a commercial structure without the use of fall protection. Condition noted on or about 09/06/2023.  South Jersey Glass and Door was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.453(b)(2)(v), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1574484, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 24, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 900 Route 73, A500 Marlton, NJ 08053.
