29 CFR 1910.134(h)(3)(ii)(A): Respirator inspections did not include a check of respirator function, tightness of connections, and the condition of the various parts including, but not limited to, the facepiece, head straps, valves, connecting tube, and cartridges, canisters or filters. Location: Fabrication area On or about 9/27/2023, an employee required to utilize a half face elastomeric respirator did not conduct a respirator inspection which included checks of the interior rubber parts for damage or deterioration and donned an elastomeric respirator that had interior rubber seal damage.
