The employer did not ensure that when wet processes are used, drainage is be maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats are provided. On or about September 23, 2023, the employer failed to ensure that the walking-working surface for Fresh Pack Raw Side employees was maintained free of slip/trip hazards while Janitors assisted in secondary activities, such as, providing coverage for Inspectors.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about September 23, 2023, the employer failed to ensure that machine guarding on the line sorter inspector conveyor table located in the Fresh Pack building was able to effectively protect employees from inadvertent contact with the zone of danger created by the end roller.
