29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   (a) On or before 10/7/2023 the employer did not ensure that subcontractor employees were protected from fall hazards. On Building 2, employees working in the trusses had their lifelines secured to the florr below and did not provide adequate protection. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards greater than 18 feet.  (b) On or before 10/7/2023 the controlling and correcting employer did not ensure that subcontractor employees were protected from fall hazards. On Building 3, subcontractor employees were performing leading edge work with guard rails removed and were not using other approved means of fall protection. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards greater than 20 feet.  Texas Building Systems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1558614, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 12/9/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1135 Technology Drive O Fallon, MO 63368.
