Throughout Warehouse - On or about October 12, 2023, the employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces were maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Scraps of wood, plastic and other materials were laying in the passageways throughout the warehouse thus exposing employees to slip, trip and fall hazards.

29 CFR 1910.176(a): Where mechanical handling equipment is used, the employer failed to ensure that sufficient safe clearances shall be allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways and wherever turns or passage must be made. Aisles and passageways shall be kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard. Permanent aisles and passageways shall be appropriately marked. a. Warehouse Isles - On or about October 12, 2023, the employer did not ensure that aisles had sufficient safe clearances (products in aisles) and appropriately marked where mechanical handling equipment was being used thus exposing employees to struck-by hazards.
