29 CFR 1910.132(b): Employee-owned equipment: Where employees provide their own protective equipment, the employer did not assure its adequacy, including proper maintenance, and sanitation of such equipment: (a) Production area, On or about October 16, 2023, and at times prior, the employer failed to ensure all employee owned equipment was adequate for the work being performed at the facility. The employees were responsible for purchasing their own personal protective equipment to include welding sleeves.
