29 CFR 1926.302(b)(6): The use of hoses for hoisting or lowering tools was permitted. a- 8 Pier Street, Eastampton NJ - On or about 10/19/23 a worker lowered an air nailer, from the pitched, sheathed, roof of a one story residential structure to the ground surface below using the air hose it was connected to. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a - 5 Amaryllis Drive, Manalapan NJ: A worker was exposed to fall hazards when walking and working from a single 2 x 4, that was set on its side in the peaks of unsheathered pitched roof trusses, while not using fall protection. As such this worker was exposed to fall hazards in excess of 24 feet 1 inch to the concrete flooring below. Condition noted on or about 10/19/23. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
