29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Jobsite, Polecat Hollow Road, Claysburg, PA 16625: Observed on or about October 20, 2023, employees standing on steel beams on top of the building while installing wall insulation were not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. The employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 16 feet 8 inches to the ground below.
