29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): (a) Jobsite: On or about October 25, 2023, an employee was working in an approximately 7 to 10 foot deep trench and the trench was not properly sloped nor shored. In addition, the employer did not determine the Classification of soil that they were working in.

The employee was wearing a baseball style hat.
