1910.9(b) Training. Standards in this part requiring training on hazards and related matters, such as standards requiring that employees receive training or that the employer train employees, provide training to employees, or institute or implement a training program, impose a separate compliance duty with respect to each employee covered by the requirement. The employer must train each affected employee in the manner required by the standard, and each failure to train an employee may be considered a separate violation.  a) Worksite Ulta Beauty 78 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack, NY, 11725 - employees were not effectively trained to recognize and mitigate egress hazards, in that exit routes were blocked by merchandise in the rear storage room; on or about November 1, 2023.

29 CFR  1910.157(c)(1):Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:  (a) Worksite 78 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack, NY, 11725 -  The portable fire extinguisher in the back storage room was blocked by boxes of merchandise, exposing employees to fire hazards; on or about November 1, 2023.   Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
