29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1. a On or about November 1, 2023, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee was using a STIHL portable handheld power saw to cut masonry bricks that contained silica. The employer did not implement engineering controls, such as using an integrated water delivery system to minimize dust exposure, thereby exposing employees to hazards associated with respirable crystalline silica.
