Sandy River Center Worksite - The employer did not ensure that all controlled employees required to use 3M, Direct Supply or other N95 particulate respirators were not annually fit tested exposing controlled employees to respiratory diseases. Genesis Healthcare was was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1594738, citation 1, item 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 15, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 20 N Maple Street Hadley, MA 01035.

29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: Worksite - The employer did not ensure that employees required to wear DIRECT SUPPLY N95 particulate respirators for protection from viruses, such as flu and COVID-19, were free from facial hair that could impede the sealing surface of the respirator.
