29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a. Located at the job site at 4745 Center State Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43230: On or about November 15, 2023, employees were utilizing pneumatic nail guns to install sub-roofing material to a new-build commercial building without utilizing eye protection measures. Employees were thereby exposed to struck-by hazards.  SKM Construction LLC was previously cited for a Serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1682950, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 3, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 605 Diley Road, Pickerington, Ohio.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a. Located at the job site at 4745 Center State Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43230: On or about November 15, 2023, employees were installing a new roof on a one-story steep commercial building being built without utilizing fall protection measures. Employees were thereby exposed to fall hazards of up to approximately 12 feet.  SKM Construction LLC was previously cited for a Serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1682950, citation number 1, item number 3a and was affirmed as a final order on October 3, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 605 Diley Road, Pickerington, Ohio.
