29 CFR 1910.243(c)(3):Abrasive wheels used on vertical portable grinder(s) (right angle head grinders) were not provided with safety guard(s) having a maximum exposure angle of 180 degrees and located between the operator and wheel: a) Production: On or about November 27, 2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation and struck-by hazards, in that the guards were not fixed to the Milwaukee 6" GRINDER - CAT NO. 6161-30 - SER. D07ED211600457 vertical portable grinder, while employees were sanding down and cutting aluminum rim wheels.

29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii):Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields: a) Rim Blaster Area: On or about November 27, 2023 and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to ultraviolet radiation hazards, in that, welding screens were not used to enclose welding areas used for welding cracks in aluminum rims and protect employees in adjacent work areas.
