29 CFR 1910.303(b)(6):29 CFR 1910.303(b)(6): Unless identified for use in the operating environment, conductors or equipment were located in damp or wet locations; where exposed to gases, fumes, vapors, liquids, or other agents that had a deteriorating effect on the conductors or equipment; or where exposed to excessive temperatures: A.) Great Lake Metal Finishing, Inc. on or about 12/20/23 and times prior thereto: flexible power cords were stored in wet locations where corrosive and other deteriorating elements were present. Flexible power cord was used to power equipment including but not limited to the Frigidaire Model #FFFC25M4TW in the waste containment area. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(D):Flexible cords were attached to building surfaces: A.) Great Lake Metal Finishing, Inc. on or about 12/20/23 and times prior thereto: a flexible power cord to the Frigidaire Model #FFFC25M4TW was wedged between wood boards to keep the power cord off the ground. The use of the flexible power cord was prohibited in that the cord was running along, and attached to, the building surfaces. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
