29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. Note: Personal protective equipment requirements are contained in subpart I of this part. a. On or about January 3, 2024, located at 3990 East Broad Street, Whitehall, Ohio, the employer did not ensure an employee working in areas where there was potential electrical shock hazards was provided with appropriate electrical protective equipment. An employee was conducting electrical work on a 277 volt panel at the main gate without the required arc flash shirt and pants which exposed the employee to electrical shock hazards.
