29 CFR  1910.303(c)(3)(i):Conductors shall be spliced or joined with splicing devices identified for the use or by brazing, welding, or soldering with a fusible metal or alloy. Soldered splices shall first be spliced or joined to be mechanically and electrically secure without solder and then soldered. All splices and joints and the free ends of conductors shall be covered with an insulation equivalent to that of the conductors or with an insulating device identified for the purpose.  a) On or about Janurary 11, 2024, Inside the carbon fiber sanding booth where carbon dust accumulated, the sanding lathe motor wires were spliced and repaired without proper insulation.  Carbon Six barrels was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 1910.303(c)(3)(i) which was contained in OSHA inspection #1596703 citation 1 item 12 and was affirmed as a final order on date December 19, 2022 with respect to the workplace located at 10093 Rayco Sandres Rd Gonzales, LA 70737.
