GRDC Contracting, LLC. located at Building #1, 5500 Hildebrand Road, Columbus, OH 43230: On or about January 18, 2024, the controlling employer did not ensure site safety inspections were conducted by a competent person when sub-contractor employees were engaged in residential construction work that exposed them to falls over 30 feet and struck-by hazards. b. GRDC Contracting, LLC. located at Building #2, 5500 Hildebrand Road, Columbus, OH 43230: On or about January 18, 2024, the controlling employer did not ensure site safety inspections were conducted by a competent person when sub-contractor employees were engaged in residential construction work that exposed them to falls of over ten feet. c. GRDC Contracting, LLC. located at Building #3, 5500 Hildebrand Road, Columbus, OH 43230: On or about January 18, 2024, the controlling employer did not ensure site safety inspections were conducted by a competent person when sub-contractor employees were engaged in residential construction work that exposed them to falls over 30 feet, electrical and struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502. Note: There is a presumption that it is feasible and will not create a greater hazard to implement at least one of the above-listed fall protection systems. Accordingly, the employer has the burden of establishing that it is appropriate to implement a fall protection plan which complies with 1926.502(k) for a particular workplace situation, in lieu of implementing any of those systems. a. GRDC Contracting, LLC. located at Building #1, 5500 Hildebrand Road, Columbus, OH 43230: On or about January 18, 2024, the controlling employer did not ensure sub-contractor employees engaged in residential framing activities at heights more than 30 feet above the lower level were protected from falls exposing the employee to falls of over 30 feet. b. GRDC Contracting, LLC. located at Building #2, 5500 Hildebrand Road, Columbus, OH 43230: On or about January 18, 2024, the controlling employer did not ensure sub-contractor employees engaged in residential framing activities more than 10 feet above the lower level were protected from falls, exposing the employee to falls of over 10 feet. c. GRDC Contracting, LLC. located at Building #3, 5500 Hildebrand Road, Columbus, OH 43230: On or about January 18, 2024, the controlling employer did not ensure sub-contractor employees engaged in residential framing activities at heights more than 30 feet above the lower level were protected from falls, exposing the employee to falls of over 30 feet. GRDC Contracting, LLC was previously cited for a repeat-serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1479782, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on August 21, 2020, with respect to a worksite located at 9757-9777 Loon Lane, Canal Winchester, OH 43110.
