29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Chipper Room: On January 24, 2024, and times prior, employees would walk under a conveyor in proximity to a roller to clean the area and the employer did not ensure the roller was guarded to protect employees from caught-in hazards created by the in-running nip point.
