On or about February 1, 2024 employees working in the paint booth located at the PSI facility, were painting in a wall fan on inside the paint booth, while coating equipment parts from oil and gas field.

29 CFR 1910.107(g)(2):Cleaning. All spraying areas shall be kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary. Scrapers, spuds, or other such tools used for cleaning purposes shall be of non-sparking material. On or about February 1, 2024, employees working in the paint booth, located at the PSI facility, had accumulation of paint splatter on walls and electrical outlet throughout the space. The employer did not ensure paint booth combustible residue were cleaned regularly.
