29 CFR 1910.212 (a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Packout Area: On or about January 29, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to amputation hazards, in that there was no point of operation guard at the bottom section of the machinery while they operated the line 2 bagger 3 to package food products with plastic bags, heater bar, and cutting blade.
