29 CFR  1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers.  On or about February 7, 2024, an employee was not protected from a fall while working from a Pump Jack Scaffold, exposing the employee to a fall of 19 feet.  S & D Siding Inc.,  was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1532010, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 8, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 304 N. Gary Ave. Wheaton, IL 60187.  Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
