29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice. a) (Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 14th Street SW Washington, D.C. presses 110, 210, 201, 202, 601, 602, 901, and 902) On or about February 8, 2024, employer exposed employees to slippery walking-working surfaces caused by presses leaking fluids during operating printing presses. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
