29 CFR 1910.217(f)(2) Instruction to operators. The employer shall train and instruct the operator in the safe method of work before starting work on any operation covered by this section. The employer shall insure by adequate supervision that correct operating procedures are being followed. (a) On or about February 12, 2024 the bottom portion of the presence sensing device on the Komatsu 45 Press (model no. OBS 45-3, machine no. 13747) had been made ineffective by placing a sticker on the device, therefore exposing employees to an unprotected portion of the point of operation.
