29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): Location: a) Worksite; Second floor of residential building; Window opening a) On or about 2/16/2024, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from falling by using a personal fall arrest system. An employee stood on and stepped out of the second floor window opening, which was approximately 14 feet above the concrete sidewalk below, without the use of a personal fall arrest system. The employee was engaged in masonry, window installation, and scaffold erection activates on site.
