29 CFR 1910.151(c): When the eyes or body of any person were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: On or about February 20, 2024, employees were exposed to corrosive materials while diluting and using BE-5601- Dysh, and Maquat 256 NHQ-Petology in order to wash and sanitize dog dishes and scoopers, respectively. There was no eyewash station or safety shower in the vicinity of the Pro lead station and Pro Laundry Room to quickly drench the eyes or skin of the employees in the event of exposure to corrosive substances. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1):Eye and face protection. General requirements. The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about February 20, 2024, employees were exposed to corrosive materials while diluting BE-5601- Dysh, and Maquat 256 NHQ-Petology in order to wash and sanitize dog dishes and scoopers, respectively. Employees were exposed to corrosive substances to their eyes and body. The employer did not select and require employees to use appropriate eye protection when employees' eyes were exposed to hazards such as chemical burns. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new physical or health hazard the employees had not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area: On or about February 20, 2024, employees were exposed to corrosive materials i.e. BE-5601- Dysh and Maquat 2560NHQ-Petology during their task of diluting the solution in order to wash and sanitize the dishes and poop scoopers. Employees were not provided with effective information and training on the hazardous chemicals. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19 (d).
