29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about February 29, 2024: employees engaged in Press Brake activities at the worksite located at 617 S Main Street, Pleasant Hill, MO; were exposed to nip point hazards on the Bystronic Expert 40 Press Brake when guarding was not provided from the movement of the back gauges during operation of the press. This was most recently evident in the incident in which an employees finger was caught between the back gauge and the die resulting in amputation on 2/21/2024.
