29 CFR  1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns were not protected by protective helmets:  a) On or about March 1, 2024, at a worksite located at 1630 K Street NE Washington DC, 4th and 5th floor, the employees engaged in framing work were not wearing a hard hat to protect them from falling objects, such as tools or materials used in the process.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a) On or about March 1, 2024, at a worksite located at 1630 K Street NE Washington DC; 4th and roof, employees conducting carpentry work did not have fall protection in place to prevent them from falling an estimated 45-feet while installing the trusses or framing.  b) On or about March 1, 2024, at a worksite located at 1630 K Street NE Washington DC; 4th and roof, employee working at the hoist area was not protected from falling 40-feet while pulling up the materials needed at the upper floors.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
