29 CFR 1910.95(g)(1): The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program as provided by 29 CFR 1910.95(g) by making audiometric testing available to all employees whose exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels: (a) Debur Area: On March 28, 2024, the grinding operator was exposed to occupational noise at 164.7% of the permissible daily noise exposure (eight hour time weighted average of 85 dBA at the 80 dB criterion level) during the 461 minute sampling period. For a full 8-hour shift this would be equivalent to an average sound level of 93.5 dBA. The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program for the employee. (b) Debur Area: On March 28, 2024, a grinding operator was exposed to occupational noise at 235.7% of the permissible daily noise exposure (eight hour time weighted average of 85 dBA at the 80 dB criterion level) during the 467 minute sampling period. For a full 8-hour shift this would be equivalent to an average sound level of 96.1 dBA. The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program for the employee. (c) Paint Building: On March 28, 2024, painting operator was exposed to occupational noise at 105.7% of the permissible daily noise exposure (eight hour time weighted average of 85 dBA at the 80 dB criterion level) during the 442 minute sampling period. For a full 8-hour shift this would be equivalent to an average sound level of 90.4 dBA. The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program for the employee.
