29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment: On or about March 13, 2024, electrical panels were partially blocked on two instances. In the event of emergency, direct access to the panels could be delayed and thus potentially expose employees and others in the immediate area to electrical and/or fire hazards. Instance 1: Next to the law enforcement office on the southeast corner, an electrical panel (identified as PNL A) was partially blocked by yellow buckets and folded up cardboard boxes. Instance 2: Behind office cubicle located on the northeast corner of office, an electrical panel (identified as PNL B) was partially blocked by a large cardboard box containing various office supplies owned by the employee assigned to that office cubicle. The USDA Forestry Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1707378, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 9, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at Plumas National Forest, CA. The USDA Forestry Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1604647, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on November 29, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at Inyo National Forest, CA.
