29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. (a )On or about March 19, 2024, at an apartment complex located at 10598 W Cortez Cir., FRANKLIN, WI 53132, employees were conducting roofing work without the use of fall protection systems or equipment, exposing employees to fall hazards of approximately 18-feet from the top of the roof to the ground below. Professional Builders WI Incorporated was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1551876, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on November 22, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3915 South 84th Street Greenfield, WI 53228. 29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): Such programs shall provide for frequent and regular inspections of the job sites, materials, and equipment to be made by competent persons designated by the employers. (a) On or about March 19, 2024, the employer did not initiate and maintain programs for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by competent persons. Employees conducting re-roofing work on a large-scale apartment complex were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 18 feet. Employees were not using and did not have in place fall protection systems or equipment.
