29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(iii):The employer did not assure that each employee has been trained, as necessary, by a competent person in the use and operation of guardrail systems, personal fall arrest systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used. At a job site located near I-70 Bridge Project Rocheport 185 Mile River, Rocheport MO; employees were exposed to fall hazards when the employer did not assure that each employee had been trained, as necessary, by a competent person in the use and operation of other fall protection to be used. This was evident on or about 3-19-2024 when an employee was improperly using a positioning belt and fell, resulting in hospitalization.
