29 CFR 1910.95(h)(4):Audiometric examinations were not administered in a room meeting the requirements listed in Appendix D: Audiometric Test Rooms: a) Conference room: On or about 1/24/2024, Audiometric examinations were not administered in a room meeting the requirements listed in Appendix D. Appendix D requires the background noise level not exceed 40 decibels at the 1000 hz band. The conference room was producing more than 40 decibels at 1000 hz. A grinder employee was exposed to continuous noise at 66.91% of the permissible daily noise exposure (8-hour TWA sound of 90.0dBA) or an equivalent sound level of 87.1 dBA during the 480 minute sampling period on 4/4/2024 using an 80 dBA threshold level.
