Desert Lodge was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(a)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1704194, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 12-13-2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1177 South Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264.

29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(I): The employer who had employees(s) with occupational exposure to blood, bloodborne pathogens, or other potentially infectious materials, did not establish a written Exposure Control Plan to eliminate or minimize employee exposure: Hotel Rooms and Laundry: On and/or before October 18, 2023, employees conducted patron room cleaning operations where there was occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials without having a written Exposure Control Plan which potentially exposed employees to Hepatitis C and HIV.
