Alleged Violation Description OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards associated with inadequately maintained racking systems:  (a) Aarons Furniture, Inc. located at 515 Adams Avenue Unit #15 Philadelphia PA - On or about April 4, 2024, the employer did not ensure steel racking system used to store furniture such as bed frames, mattresses and box springs was secured with floor and wall anchors. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards from unsecured racks when they manually load and unload furniture on to the racks and when employees are walking near the racks.
