29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer did not fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section: (a) 535 Dundee Ave., Elgin, IL 60120 - On or about April 10th, 2024 an employee was exposed to the hazards of respirable crystalline silica. The employee performed cutting of concrete block with a handheld power saw without the use of an integrated water delivery system that continuously fed water to the blade. This item was corrected during inspection.

29 CFR 1926.1153(f)(1):The employer allowed dry sweeping or dry brushing where such activity could contribute to employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica and wet sweeping, HEPA-filtered vacuuming or other methods were feasible: (a) 535 Dundee Ave., Elgin, IL 60120 - On or about April 11th, 2024 employees were exposed to the hazards of respirable crystalline silica. The employer performed dry sweeping of the roadway with a skid steer sweeping attachment. This item was corrected during inspection.

(a) 535 Dundee Ave., Elgin, IL 60120 - On or about April 10th, 2024 an employee was exposed to the hazards of flying particles while cutting concrete block, with a circular saw, without the use of eye or face protection. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
