29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about April 11, 2024,on the roof of a newly constructed residential home, employees were exposed to a struck-by hazards when operating a pneumatic nail gun to install roofing material, without eye protection. EULISIS CASTELLANO LOPEZ DBA EULISIS L CASTELLANO WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD CFR 1926.501(A)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1552051, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON DECEMBER 30, 2021, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 3435 DRY CREEK DR., MISSOURI CITY, TX 77459.
