29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function: (Construction Reference 1926.103): a. Under Sierra Pier S8-S14: An employee required to wear an N95 respirator while drilling holes in concrete to mount conduit anchors had facial hair that prevented the respirator from creating a proper seal. The employee was exposed to respiratory hazards.
