Employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to fall hazards where job-built ladders were constructed in a manner that did not have side-rails that extended at least three feet above the landing surface. Employees engaged in residential framing activities were exposed to fall hazards that included, but were not limited to open floor holes, open wall holes, and outside falls from the third story while installing joists and sheathing. Violation observed on or about April 17, 2024 Castro Framing Contractor LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (name previously cited standard), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1538846, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 11/09/2021, with respect to a workplace located at 29 Reservoir Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07307. Castro Framing Contractor LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1469222, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/17/21 with respect to a workplace located at 589 Central Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07307.
