29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: (a) 5865 Bullitt Road, Greencastle, PA - On or about April 25, 2024, the employer had not established a program which addressed the control of hazardous energy for employee(s) who were servicing and conducting maintenance on equipment such as the Hass Lathe and the Mazark M4 Lathe. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
