29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) On or about April 30, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that the drill bit was protected at the point of operation on the Alliant 100 Vertical Mill (serial #234FDS234). Employees are exposed to struck by and/or caught in between hazards of the drill bit when the machine is in operation. b) On or about April 30, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that the drill bit was protected at the point of operation on the Acer E-Mill Vertical Mill (serial #98121487). Employees are exposed to struck by and/or caught in between hazards of the drill bit when the machine is in operation.
