29 CFR 1910.1053(d)(4): The employer did not reassess exposures whenever a change in the production, process, control equipment, personnel, or work practices was reasonably expected to result in new or additional exposures at or above the action level, or when the employer had reason to believe that new or additional exposures at or above the action level have occurred: On or about May 1, 2024, the employer did not reassess employee exposure to respirable crystalline silica upon installation of the Clearfield Dry pan with a JC Steele hammermill in the grinding area. OSHA conducted sampling and determined an employee had potentially been exposed to respirable crystalline silica above the action level while working in the grinding area.
