29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: On or about May 8, 2024, portable extension ladders utilized by employees to access and egress from the roof did not extend it's side rails three (3) feet or more than above the upper landing surface during the following instances (a-b): a) Portable ladder on the Eastern Side of the home. b) Portable ladder on the Western Side of the home. Ramiro Mendoza was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1679237, citation number one, item number three and was affirmed as a final order on August 29, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 105 Nora Lane in Hickory Creek, TX.
